United Methodists affirm the historic Christian faith:
- We believe in a Triune God: the Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit
- We believe EVERY person is a beloved child of God to be welcomed and nurtured as God’s sons and daughters.
- We believe the church is a community where people worship God joyfully, proclaim His Word, share in the sacraments of baptism and holy Communion, and are nurtured in the Christian faith through worship, prayer, study, fellowship, service, and witness.
- We believe the church is a place where we prepare people to be disciples of Jesus Christ to transform the world, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
- We believe the Bible reveals the word of God and is the primary source for understanding the nature and purposes of God.
- We believe in extending God’s love to the whole creation, with God’s mercy redeeming all of God’s works, all that God loves.
